Privacy Policy

How UFABET Press collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data — and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: June 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how UFABET Press ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the website ufabetpress.com (the "Site"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal data when you visit the Site, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with our services.

UFABET Press is an independent sports betting and casino news publication. We take the privacy of our readers seriously and process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) (the "PDPA"). By using the Site or subscribing to our communications, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site or provide us with your personal data.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data we need to operate our publication and deliver the content you ask for. Specifically:

2.1 Information you provide to us

  • Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us.
  • First name — provided on our subscription and contact forms so we can personalise communications.
  • Subscription preferences — the content categories you select (for example, sports betting news, casino news, weekly analysis, or promotional offers).
  • Message content — any information you include when you email us or submit our contact form.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate, IP-derived location.
  • Browser and device information — browser type, operating system, screen size, and language settings.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — as described in Section 6.
  • Behavioural analytics — page views, time on page, referring pages, and newsletter engagement such as email opens and click-through rates on the links inside our emails.

We do not collect special categories of sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect payment card information through this Site.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To send the content you requested — delivering our editorial newsletter and any content categories you opted into.
  • To send transactional emails — subscription confirmations, double opt-in verification messages, unsubscribe confirmations, and, where applicable, account or preference-update notifications and password-reset messages.
  • For internal analytics — understanding which stories resonate so we can improve our coverage and the performance of our website and emails.
  • For promotional email campaigns — only where you have given explicit consent, we may send marketing emails about betting insights, casino reviews, and industry events.
  • To respond to your enquiries — handling messages you send to our editorial, newsletter, privacy, or press addresses.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to protect the security and integrity of our Site.

We will never use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Email Marketing

Email is central to how we serve our readers, and we hold ourselves to strict standards. The following commitments govern every marketing email we send:

  • Opt-in only. Every contact on our mailing list joined through the subscription form on our website. We do not add anyone to our list without their explicit action, and every new subscription is confirmed through a double opt-in step before any newsletter is sent.
  • Always unsubscribable. Every marketing email we send contains a clear, working unsubscribe link in a visible location. You can also unsubscribe at any time from our Newsletter page.
  • Prompt removal. Unsubscribe requests are honoured and processed within 24 hours. Once removed, you will not receive further marketing emails from us.
  • Trusted delivery provider. We use a reputable third-party email delivery service to send newsletters and transactional messages reliably and securely. Our provider is selected based on its compliance standards, data protection practices, and deliverability record.
  • No selling or renting. We never sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share our email lists with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Where the GDPR or PDPA applies, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:

  • Consent — for sending you marketing newsletters and promotional emails, and for non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Performance of a contract / your request — for delivering the specific content you signed up to receive and sending the related transactional emails.
  • Legitimate interests — for understanding aggregate readership trends, securing our Site, and improving our service, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with applicable law.

6. Cookies Policy

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to function correctly and to help us understand how readers use our content. When you first visit, we display a cookie consent notice; non-essential cookies are only set after you accept them. The categories we use are:

  • Session / essential cookies — required for the Site to operate, remember your consent choices, and keep your session secure. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to measure traffic and engagement on an aggregated basis.
  • Marketing cookies — used, with your consent, to measure the effectiveness of our email and content campaigns.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the Site work. Withdrawing cookie consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Third-Party Services

We share limited personal data with a small number of trusted service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract. These are:

  • Email delivery service — we engage a trusted third-party provider to deliver newsletter and transactional emails and to measure delivery and engagement metrics such as open rates and unsubscribe processing.
  • Google Analytics — web analytics used to understand aggregate Site usage. IP addresses are processed by Google in accordance with its own policies.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery network and security provider that helps protect the Site against malicious traffic and improves performance.

Each of these providers is bound by its own data-protection obligations. We do not authorise them to use your data for their own independent marketing. Some providers may process data outside your country of residence; where they do, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. When you unsubscribe, we remove your address from active mailing lists within 24 hours and retain only a minimal suppression record where required to ensure we do not email you again.
  • Inactive subscribers — accounts that show no engagement (no opens or clicks) are reviewed and purged after 12 months of inactivity.
  • Contact enquiries are kept only as long as needed to resolve your request and a reasonable period thereafter.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Export your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@ufabetpress.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 30 days). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. GDPR & PDPA Compliance

10.1 GDPR (European Economic Area & United Kingdom)

If you are located in the EEA or the UK, you benefit from the protections of the GDPR (and the UK GDPR). We process your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently; collect it for specified, explicit purposes; and limit it to what is necessary. You may exercise all of the rights listed in Section 9 and may contact your national Data Protection Authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.

10.2 PDPA (Thailand)

For data subjects in Thailand, we comply with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). We collect and use personal data on the basis of consent or another lawful basis under the PDPA, inform you of the purposes of collection, and honour your rights to access, correct, withdraw consent, and request deletion. Where we transfer personal data outside Thailand, we ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with the PDPA.

11. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and the use of reputable third-party processors including our email delivery provider and Cloudflare. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of any material data breach as required by law.

12. Children's Privacy

The Site and our content are intended for adults of legal gambling age in their jurisdiction and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
